Our classic small cross body bag, crafted using rustic matte black leather.

We love this small satchel style, and wanted to create a softer version, using the same supple, study, vegetable tanned leather which we use for our belts.

Measuring 19 x 15 x 5 cm, and with a strap adjustable between 128 and 137 cm, the vegetable tanning process beautifully preserves the organic past life of the material, creating a natural, characterful, finish, which will wear beautifully, taking on personality and charm with use.

Completed with a silver finish turnlock closure for accessibility and security, the minimal design aims to be an easy every day accessory.

Recently we have created a small run of accessories using the robust Italian vegetable tanned leather which we use for our Classic belts; in addition to this shoulder bag, we have our minimal Card Holders, elegant Glasses Sleeve, and timeless Sunglasses Cases available.

The leather we choose is vegetable tanned, which means it is produced in the most natural way possible. This highlights the natural grain and texture, as well as growth marks and scars, beautifully preserving the organic story of the material, which you will now add to.

 

A timeless small black cross body bag, handmade in London using sustainably sourced vegetable tanned leather.

Simple classic design; each of these small black shoulder bags is constructed from three pieces of full grain leather, detailed with a subtle emboss of our logo and secured with a silver finish turn lock.

Updated in Summer 2025, the dimensions are now 20.5 cm x 15 cm with a 5 cm depth, accommodating larger phones and our own matching sunglasses case!

Finished with hard wearing silver finish fittings, the matching leather strap has buckle adjustment ranging from 128 cm to 137 cm.

Sustainability and minimising waste is important to us, so here we're able to use the same Italian vegetable tanned leather that we use for our classic belts, split down to a thinner thickness perfect to work with for small accessories.

The vegetable tanning process is a lower impact method of tanning, one which beautifully preserves a natural characterful finish, which wears beautifully, taking on personality and charm with use.

Colour note: leather is a natural material and some variation between hides is to be expected. Please bear in mind that monitor settings may also create variance.

A full grain, natural finish, this leather's charm comes as it is used, aged, and gathers memories.

We’d recommend a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth to give it a gentle clean, and most small scratches can be polished out with a clean, soft cloth. If you feel it’s in need of some extra affection, you might like to use a leather conditioner - look out for one containing beeswax and/or natural oils. Although be mindful of oil transfer against clothing.

Try not to let your new leather accessory get wet; if it does, allow it to dry naturally - away from heaters - and it might be worth giving it a little condition after. 

There is a risk of colour transfer should it get wet but being vegetable tanned (using natural dyes), any transfer should come out with normal laundry detergent.

To us, it’s important that the leather we use aligns with our values. Alongside creating long lasting, timeless products, we ensure we minimise our impact on the planet, by crafting our pieces responsibly.

All of our leather is supplied by tanneries who are audited and certified by the Leather Working Group.

The Leather Working Group is the world’s largest leather sustainability program. LWG has identified environmental best practices in the industry and audits tanneries to assess the environmental performance of leather manufacturing facilities – and certifies those that meet the standards.

Everything here is handmade in London by a member of our small team, which means that orders can take up to 5 working days to complete - especially one off custom orders and those with personalisation.
