1 1/4" Classic Tan

A timeless staple; sustainably sourced leather in a warm tan shade, cut at a versatile 1 1/4" (32 mm) width, available with choice from a range of nickel free buckles.
Colour note: leather is a natural material and some variation between hides is to be expected. Please bear in mind that monitor settings may also create variance.
To figure out your perfect fit, measure a well fitting belt from the place at which the buckle is attached to the most used hole.
Alternatively, if you do have a tape measure to hand, measure over your trousers, exactly as you would wear the belt - which allows for the added bulk of the trousers.
A full grain, natural finish, this leather's charm comes as it is used, aged, and gathers memories.
The leather we use for our classic belts is low maintenance and easy to care for. Most small scratches can be polished out with a clean, soft cloth.
Try not to let your new leather accessory get wet; if it does, allow it to dry naturally - away from heaters - and it might be worth giving it a little condition after.
If you feel it’s in need of some extra affection, you might like to use a leather conditioner. Anything with beeswax or natural oils is best. Feel free to get in touch for our own recommendation.
We do not recommend using a coloured conditioner, as there is a high risk of colour transfer onto clothes. A neutral one will rejuvenate the colour slightly without the risk of damage.
The buckles we use for our classic belts are Brass or Zamak which shines up well with typical metal polishes. Always test the polish in an inconspicuous place first.
All of our leather is supplied by tanneries who are audited and certified by the Leather Working Group.
The Leather Working Group is the world’s largest leather sustainability program. LWG has identified environmental best practices in the industry and audits tanneries to assess the environmental performance of leather manufacturing facilities – and certifies those that meet the standards.
The leather used for our Belts is supplied by a Tuscan tannery that has a Silver Rating from the LWG, as well as being a member of The Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium.
The Consortium’s mission is to safeguard the centuries-old tradition of vegetable tanning and to guarantee the quality of the raw material and workmanship. The Consortium guarantees manufacturing processes compatible with the ecosystem and not harmful to people.

The incorrect belt was sent but I understand that the correct one has been sent although I haven’t received it. Too late for my holiday disappointing.
I have the same belt in 3 colours, because they’re great, and if you buy more one you can mix & match buckles. Unfortunately I didn’t realise that until I bought the third!

To achieve the price the belt has been designed for simplicity of manufacture and labour reduction. The leather and buckle are good quality. But its simply cut leather the edges have no edge treatment making the edge quite sharp and rough. this might age in but i will probably burnish the edge to get a softer feel. for the price its a good belt.

A smart, well-made leather belt. It is a little stiffer than the classic brown version, but not unduly so by any means. Very pleased with it overall.

I've been after a proper solid leather belt but at a reasonable price. A lot of bonded belts around that have a cardboard filling in the middle. Not with this one though. Solid leather, smells and feels good. Nice buckle. My only criticism is that I would have liked the tan colour to be a shade lighter. Nevertheless I still like it and have received a couple of compliments too. And it's got a 25 year guarantee stamped on the inside. What more does one need? Highly recommended.

Fit for purpose - colour, style and length. Ordered a small and I have a 26” waist and 36” hips. Might need to add an extra hole but that’s fine!
Not for the first time have I been delighted with the quality of the products from Village Leathers - I would recommend the quality (and price) to anyone.
I bought these for my husband for Valentine’s to replace his belts that were worn out and breaking up after only a few years of use. Was looking for organic leather belts, but impossible to find, and came across Village Leathers who at least source ‘responsible’ leather, and based in London are not too far from us - a big positive. I also liked their sustainable ethos, and the long held similar workings/practices of the company. And as a major bonus the belts seem to be made with longevity in mind, with the 25 year guarantee. So I’m hoping my hubby will be able to use these belts for a very long time without them breaking up. Would have liked to have seen the option of a mid brown belt, in between the dark brown and light tan.
