Handmade in London, a true favourite; a 1" (25 mm) wide slim black leather belt with brushed silver finish buckle, metal loop, and matching tip.
To figure out your perfect fit, measure a well fitting belt from the place at which the buckle is attached to the most used hole.
Alternatively, if you do have a tape measure to hand, measure over your trousers, exactly as you would wear the belt - which allows for the added bulk of the trousers.
The leather we use for our classic belts is low maintenance and easy to care for. Most small scratches can be polished out with a clean, soft cloth.
If you feel it’s in need of some extra affection, you might like to use a leather conditioner. Anything with beeswax or natural oils is best. Feel free to get in touch for our own recommendation.
We do not recommend using a coloured conditioner, as there is a high risk of colour transfer onto clothes. A neutral one will rejuvenate the colour slightly without the risk of damage.
The buckles we use for our classic belts are Brass or Zamak which shines up well with typical metal polishes. Always test the polish in an inconspicuous place first.
All of our leather is supplied by tanneries who are audited and certified by the Leather Working Group.
The Leather Working Group is the world’s largest leather sustainability program. LWG has identified environmental best practices in the industry and audits tanneries to assess the environmental performance of leather manufacturing facilities – and certifies those that meet the standards.
The leather used for our Belts is supplied by a Tuscan tannery that has a Silver Rating from the LWG, as well as being a member of The Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium.
The Consortium’s mission is to safeguard the centuries-old tradition of vegetable tanning and to guarantee the quality of the raw material and workmanship. The Consortium guarantees manufacturing processes compatible with the ecosystem and not harmful to people.
Everything here is handmade in London by a member of our small team, which means that orders can take up to 5 working days to complete - especially one off custom orders and those with personalisation.

So beautifully made, and such high quality. Perfect everyday belt for a minimalist wardrobe with just the right amount of detail to stand out. I feel like I will have this belt forever. For reference my I wear this at my natural waist which is 28", and the xs fits perfect with plenty of extra holes in each direction if my measurements change. Shipping was shockingly fast to CA.
Love the belt. But it needs a moveable leather loop to tidy the belt. Currently using the loop from my brown belt.

I was so happy with this belt - simple classic design, really well made and beautiful leather. Such great value and price compared to high street brands. Minimal non plastic packaging as well. I would highly recommend Village Leathers.
Belt is clearly well made and had attention to detail. However, the metal tip is only on one side held by what looks like a rivet. I would thought the metal tip would have been an insert or wrapped around the leather. Time will tell how long the tip lasts. Other than that I'm willing to order another in a different color. Great product.

The belt received looks nothing like the belt image on the website. The seller claims a “subtle” variation, however the belt looks completely different. Be aware that the dyed belts may have a very grainy look which looks patchy and odd. I cannot wear the belt, it looks awful. Seller insists I must pay return postage even though the website images are misleading.
Unfortunately size XS is still too big for my partner, but outstanding quality product, great finish and detail. Excellent customer service (even offered free shortening service), fast delivery, nicely packaged.

Originally motivated by the fact that I thrifted some trousers with belt loops too skinny for any belt wider than 1", and knowing how good black Western belts with metal tips look, I set out to find a good one. And for such a low price, with good leather and a 25 year guarantee, this can't be beat. It's perfect with my black jeans, or just adding that touch of cowboy flair to an outfit, and the sizing works just fine for me - no need to drill new holes just yet.
