Missouri Burgundy Leather Purse

Handmade by us in our London workshop, the burgundy leather purse brings a dash of colour to an everyday essential.

The compact design measures 8.5 cm x 12 cm when closed, fastened with a silver finish press stud are four enclosed card pockets and a longer note pocket. The purse is completed by a separate zipped coin section on the back, with a 10 cm silver finish zip.

Sustainability and minimising waste is important to us, so here we're able to use the same full grain leather that we use for our classic belts, split down to a thinner thickness perfect to work with for small accessories.

Cut from Italian vegetable tanned leather, each burgundy purse is subtly blind embossed with our logo.

In addition to being durable and long lasting, vegetable tanned leather has a more natural finish, with plenty of grain and texture - over time the leather matures and beautifully takes on further character with age and wear.

- 1.4 - 2 mm thick vegetable tanned leather from Italy.

Colour note: leather is a natural material and some variation between hides is to be expected. Please bear in mind that monitor settings may also create variance.

The leather we choose is vegetable tanned, which means it is produced in the most natural way possible. This highlights the natural grain and texture, as well as growth marks and scars, beautifully preserving the organic story of the material.

We’d recommend a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth to give it a gentle clean, and most small scratches can be polished out with a clean, soft cloth. If you feel it’s in need of some extra affection, you might like to use a leather conditioner - look out for one containing beeswax and/or natural oils. Although be mindful of oil transfer if it's being carried in pockets/bags.

Try not to let your new leather accessory get wet; if it does, allow it to dry naturally - away from heaters - and it might be worth giving it a little condition after.

There is a risk of colour transfer should it get wet, but being vegetable tanned, any transfer should come out with normal laundry detergent.

To us, it’s important that the leather we use aligns with our values. Alongside creating long lasting, timeless products, we ensure we minimise our impact on the planet, by crafting our pieces responsibly.

All of our leather is supplied by tanneries who are audited and certified by the Leather Working Group.

The Leather Working Group is the world’s largest leather sustainability program. LWG has identified environmental best practices in the industry and audits tanneries to assess the environmental performance of leather manufacturing facilities – and certifies those that meet the standards.

Delivery

Everything here is handmade in London by a member of our small team, which means that orders can take up to 5 working days to complete - especially one off custom orders and those with personalisation.

Shipping is free to the UK. We’re here Monday to Friday and we post orders as soon as they’re ready, using Royal Mail Tracked 48. UK customers have the option of Next Day delivery for an additional fee. 

Delivery to our International customers will typically take a week to 10 days, but may be up to two weeks. Any custom fees and duties that apply to items sent outside of the UK will be the responsibility of the customer.

You’ll receive an email notification as soon as your order is dispatched, which will have tracking info and our contact details.

Returns and Exchanges

If for any reason you’d like to return or exchange your purchase, please post the item back to us at the following address, enclosing our Returns Form (download one here). Alternatively you can email to request the form, or simply include a note detailing all the same information - it will help us process your request more quickly.

The item must be in an unused condition and packaged securely, we recommend using a tracked service as we can't be responsible for items lost in the mail. We will process your refund/exchange within 2-3 working days. 

We are unable to cover return postage for International orders, so unfortunately for our International customers, you would be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs, and any re-delivery charges for exchanges.

You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.

We cannot offer returns or exchanges on bespoke or personalised products.
