Clementine Geometric Black Leather Mini Tote Bag

Always with an eye to minimising waste, we're delighted to have found this way of repurposing offcuts; a jigsaw-like tessellation of small pieces that create larger panels perfect for making soft structure bags.

This method of construction results in a unique geometric finish, and the use of multiple pieces showcases the beautiful variety and texture of natural full grain leather.

We've created a collection of black leather tote bags in a range of sizes, all lined with a heavy duty polycotton drill and featuring an internal zipped pocket with 15 cm zip.

Handmade in London, The Clementine Mini Tote measures 23 x 25 cm with an 8 cm depth. The handles are cut from matching vegetable tanned black leather, 20 cm wide with a total length of 51 cm, securely stitched in place.

Colour note: leather is a natural material and some variation between hides is to be expected. Please bear in mind that monitor settings may also create variance.

A full grain, natural finish, this leather's charm comes as it is used, aged, and gathers memories.

We'd recommend a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth to give it a gentle clean, and most small scratches can be polished out with a clean, soft cloth. If you feel it’s in need of some extra affection, you might like to use a leather conditioner - look out for one containing beeswax and/or natural oils. Although be mindful of oil transfer if it's being carried in pockets/bags.
Try not to let your new leather accessory get wet; if it does, allow it to dry naturally - away from heaters - and it might be worth giving it a little condition after. 

There is a risk of colour transfer should it get wet but being vegetable tanned, any transfer should come out with normal laundry detergent.There are sealant sprays available, which do help protect your leather goods and can also help protect colour transfer onto lighter coloured clothing.
