This is why we are proud to introduce our Classic belts 25 year Warranty. We’re so confident in the durability of our top quality belt leather paired with top notch buckles and press studs that we are able to offer our customers a promise - if your belt falls short of this high standard we’ll be more than happy to perform the necessary repairs to your faithful servant.
We’ve mentioned our thoughts on over-consuming in the past, and so helping our customers to keep their stuff in use for longer is our contribution to reducing their need to buy more over time.
In the 21st century, it is almost always easier and cheaper to replace than to repair. In the modern world we often make things as cheaply as possible; components fail before the end of the items life, or the item is not of a high enough standard to be fit for purpose.
Sometimes repairing is almost impossible. Labels warn that self-repair voids the warranty, special types of screws actively curb our efforts or there is no information or tools available to the consumer to perform the necessary repairs. These products are seemingly designed specifically to promote consumerism - they are manufactured so that they cannot be repaired easily and replacement is the only answer.
Making the purchase is not the problem. We do live in a capitalist society and that’s not about to change anytime soon. But if we all make a conscious effort to reduce our over-consumption, we will reduce our impact on the planet.
Our products are built to be treasured. The leather will age with grace, and become unique to it’s history and the love that is given to it. They are crafted for life. As manufacturers, we have a responsibility to enable our customers to ensure their products last until the true end of their life. If DIY repair is your thing, be a pioneer. Our Classic belts are simply designed, enabling easy replacement of a tired press stud or a fresh leather loop. We are happy to provide you with the necessary parts to service your own belt if the time comes.
Check the reverse of your belt to find it’s 25 year warranty stamp on the reverse. Our Classic belts are all covered by our warranty, and you can also identify them by the warranty icon in the product page. Classic Belts are available in a range of widths, from 1” all the way up to 2” wide, in black, brown and tan.
